IndianaBassHead
What's up everybody? I have FINALLY started working on finishing my wall in my tahoe. I have about 8" on top and 5" on the sides that I need to seal off. My plan was to use cardboard and fiberglass but i just don't have the patience or time to do the fiberglass. My question is, how do you guys seal your wall off without permanently attaching it to the roof? I don't want to damage the headliner or permanently attach it. I would like it to look good, but I am more worried about functionality than looks. Thanks for the help! OrionStang
Get the shape you need using cardboard. Trace that to mdf, it needs to fit tight. Blue painters tape on headliner. Press mdf pieces into place. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

bkolfo4
That's what I did, but the vibration eventually caused the MDF to eat into the headliner material. IndianaBassHead
Never thought about using tape. I always seem overthink things and make them harder than they are lol. But that seems easy enough. Thanks. IndianaBassHead
just now saw that you said it ate the headliner eventually. That's where I'm not sure what to do. I'd really like to keep the interior nice. Noobtastic14
If it means that much to you, you can always leave 1/8" gap there to ensure there is are no contacting surfaces. You can have it sealed off, or you can save the material but can't do both cheap and easy unfortunately. -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. bassface
You may be able to use a thick weather stripping attached to the top of the mdf, but i think that anything touching the roof would eventually leave a mark of some kind.
