Mario928
I've used UPS batteries with success wich model?? i can find the enersys 155 around here CHEAP as hell, they are 150AH , i've never used them before and lots of people say they do pretty good, an xs power D3100 cost around 400$ over here, i can find those UPS batteries for like 100$ a piece If they are cheap why dont you test them yourself and give us a review. fecupe2001
as much as i love the idea of testing them, i don't think i would spend 100$ on that just for a test, BUT, you actually have a point, let me see if there's someone that can borrow me one of those batteries and actually gonna test it against a D3100 i have laying in my closet Quote I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. SnowDrifter
4 of the enersys npx-150s I could hold 13v running 3500 watts on music with a 110(clamped) alt. But that was with the gain turned down on my old build. They are chilling out in my garage right now. I can hook them up and tell you my results if you want me to test them a bit Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
fecupe2001
honestly it would be a great help, but i actually didn't thought about asking someone to borrow me one of the exact model i can find around here and test it against a D3100 , if you do a similar test please send me some results, it would be awesome, i'm actually gonna try to do it myself this weekend also Quote I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. ChevyBoy95
the ones i can get are powersafe batteries, made by enersys, tell me a little bit more about your batts, how mane of them? what's your voltage drop? 2 147ah, and a 78ah, 200a alt. running about 4.5k (highs included) full tilt from 14.2 to 13.8v (at idle) 14.2 to 14v 1200rpm C&D and Powerware (which i think is a C&D essentially) around 100lbs each. Go to 3:28, voltage is a bit higher because truck wasnt running long. but 14.3v to 14v full tilt on a low 30hz note. (AT IDLE, so around 125amps from the alt) Edited July 20, 2012 by ChevyBoy95 Quote Best Score to Date : 160.5 dB Outlaw (47Hz)[4 XM 15's & 2 Taramps Bass 12k's] BL : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147800-chevyboy95s-4-15s-7krms-wall-1533-db-on-half-power/YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/hitemwiththeflex/

STEvil
If you're looking to use yellow/red tops be careful.. they do gas off just like water based batteries: Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. christamez80
Im lookin for cheap batteries. Here's what im tryin to use them for if it helps. 4-18's Obsidian Audio D4's, 25.28 cu ft box tuned to 32hz. 2 Planet Audio BB2400.1 strapped at 2 ohms. 8 gauge speaker wire for subs and 0 gauge wire for power and ground. Big 3 upgrade and stock alternator for now. I know i should run like a XS battery but low on funds at the time. I can get the XS D3400 for $260 so im lookin for a battery that is close to it for less money.
