252chevyboyz
Took the head liner to Donnie this morning. He may be 70yrs old but he can do some good work according to the seats and other misc. interior pieces he had around his shop. I told him it was no rush on the headliner but then he proceeded to say that it would be ready tomorrow afternoon. Said the material would be laid by the end of today and that it would be ready for pick up after the glue dries. Anyway great service and I also snagged a few pics. Also quoted a price of 120 to cover the headliner, the middle consul on the roof in the front, and the 2 rear speaker covers. Got got a feeling it may come out to be like 20 bucks more or so but a lil over budget isnt too bad. Also when I pick it up I'll try to grab a few ninja pics of the shop if I can remember - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log
audiolamb6
did u ask how much for the visors thats where they get u
252chevyboyz
45 per visor and I was like I will hang on to these. The plastic in the visors is separating so I didn't see that we're worth recovering. I am going to take the pieces off the visors that fit up to the headliner so I can put those back up there instead of having holes in my headliner. Anyway I am going either see about making some fiberglass visors or something of the sorts. I dont really want or need visors so I may just find a way to cover the holes and delete them permanently. I'll take pics of how I seperate the stock pieces from the visor to go back on the headliner. Should be doing that later on this afternoon - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log

252chevyboyz
That's good news cause your headliner looks good bro. He did some good work there. I would have spent 168 bucks if I did it having to buy the adhesive and the gun to spray it plus the headliner material. Also would have had to buy something to strip the old foam off with so I would have been right around 175 for me to do it. When he quoted a price under that I was like yes sir go right on ahead and do it. Plus I would have been so pissed if I messed it up trying to cover it since I have a lack in upholstery skills. - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log

252chevyboyz
@big: I was thinkin of gettin a headliner from the junk yard and see if I couldn't mold a Chevy symbol rigt above the center consul. I won't do anything to the one I just got covered but wouldn't mind getting a spare one just to experiment with. I picked up the headliner about 845 this morning and I did snag of pic of he headliner in the shop and a pic of the masters work station. **edit** I'll have pics of the headliner install shortly - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log
252chevyboyz
The center consul all back together Used an ice pick to punch through the fabric so the screws wouldn't grab it and tear the fabric. Only thing I could think of. - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log
