Recommended Posts

If you're willing to drop a hundo on a meter then I'd suggest that you drop a little more and get one that also measures DC current.

Very handy if you want to measure an amps efficiency or test out your alternator.

DC current clamps aren't cheap but its better than having to go out and buy a second clamp later....

can someone describe the simple process of what you do? and why spending more is better? i wouldnt mind reading alt and finding efficiency but not what im out for. so lets just say voltage drop is the only thing i wanna find. . .also can i clamp an amp at different ohm loads?

how about smething cheap like this? http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Clamp-AC-Volt-Meter/dp/B005DV8PV2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1343676232&sr=8-2&keywords=clamp+meter just to get an idea of the rms doesnt need to be friggen spot on
