I purchased this amp on March 10th, 2012 from a crescendo representative (OldsBoomer here on the SMD forum), he is also a personal friend of mine. This amplifier has never seen below (13.0v) about 99% of the time, the only time it ever went below that is when my vehicle was shut off, in that case the amp has never seen below (12.0v). The amplifier has always ran totally cool for me and NEVER got hot; I also never had one problem or quirk with this amp mechanically. For these reasons I rate the amp 10/10 mechanically. Just for reference I ALWAYS used Tool Maker dual 1/0 inputs with my amplifier (which I also have for sale, see below). The electrical used with this amplifier consists of the following: Two XS Power D3100's, one XS D2400 under the hood, dual runs of OFC 1/0 EVERYWHERE, and a Singer 250A alternator. I also only use TOTALLY unclipped songs from DJ slow n' throw. So feel confident that this amplifier was not abused.... The amplifier gains was set using a (-5 db) tone using the SMD DD-1. The amplifier was screwed to my backseat and has never been moved except for when I just removed it to sell it. I really hate to let go of this amp but at the moment I am looking for something a little bit smaller for a different set up. I don't like to wipe off my amplifiers constantly with a cloth or something to keep it shiny because it can create scratches from smearing the particles of dust over the amplifier case. So the only thing I ever did was blow the amp off with compressed air; this means you will be hard pressed to find any imperfection(s) on the amp case. The only thing that I can find is some smudges from where my hands touched the amp, these can obviously be EASILY wiped off. I would give this amplifier a 9.5/10 cosmetically d/t some very minor scrapes on the mounting feet from the screws that were used to mount the amplifier to my backseat. This amplifier includes all the original packaging, manual bass knob with clipping indicator, and instruction manuals. This amplifier also comes with a 1 year limited TRANSFERABLE warranty. The back of the instruction manual states: Warranty is fully transferable from original owner provided that new owner can prove date/place of purchase. So right now there is a little over 7 months still on the warranty. I am asking $575 shipped and insured to the lower 48 FIRM. If you want the Tool Maker dual inputs that will be $30 for the pair.
