TLEJ
He assures me his dad is paying a bill every month, and he will have the title to me in November... Do I trust this guy? Like I've never dealt with something like this before... Salvage title sure, but this is something I've never seen before... He was going to sell me the bike with a bill of sale, then mail me the title.. What do you guys think?

LT.Smoke
Sounds kinda sketchy bro... I dont think I would do it without being able to get the title in hand at the time of the transaction... TLEJ
That's what I'm thinking... I feel as if he can just claim the bike as stolen or something... But I don't know how that works if he gives me a bill of sale?... I told him to meet me at the DMV today and we will talk to them there about it.. and he says he will do it, but I'll have to pay more, haha.. I said that's fine.. So I guess we're going to meet at the DMV later today. I'm just really skeptical about this.. It's a really good deal, and he says he's just trying to get a harley.. I mean if we do a bill of sale, can he claim it back?
CLNSHVNnDRAGGN
If you do it just get the BIS notarized so he can't try to say it's fake. Also, find out what is his reasoning why he can't give you the signed title and you just hold it until November? If he gives you the title and you don't transfer it into your name before then it won't affect anything he has going on with it right now. If you can get him to do that you can be cool and just hold the title or since he seems like he's fuckin you around get it and go transfer it anyway. Once you have the signed title it's yours whether you get it transferred into your name or not. Quote www.facebook.com/BILLatDivineCreationsPhoto He was taunting me. He's all like "come at me bro!" So I'm like "I'm coming at you bro!" And he's like "hey, fuck you" *chomp*. Then I killed it. I win. ^^^ you have truly taken being a lazy fuck to a new level tonight, an MRE. Skullz
A notarized contract would be the only route to go to save your backside in the event they try to pull out and do some shady stuff to you. b-dubs89
i would walk away . if there is a lien on the bike and they don't pay the note the lien holder will get the bike one way or another and you're only action will be to sue the guy who sold it to you , as it would be a civil matter and you likely won't get paid if you sue him so save your self a bunch of grief and bull and keep looking . sounds like a bad deal all around and even if this guy has honor and will do the right thing , nobody can guarantee that he won't die or get in trouble or something before you get a title . Emmet
You'd think he wouldn't be able to sell the bike since he's been declared bankrupt... sounds shady for sure.
