I have noticed though that when these new tools come out, the old ways of doing it are completely bashed by the people marketing them. Such as setting gains with a dmm as opposed to a dd-1. So its kind of hypocritical to put the blame all on the people bashing the old ways, when in fact the whole marketing strategy is showing that the new tools are the only way to properly do it.

even before the DD-1 was released i have preached the O-scope.......the DMM has ALWAYS been worthless for setting gains. In fact, to this day i always say "FUCK THE DD1, at least use an O-scope" if you are any decent installer. So you can take your bullshit post back. Seriously.

Tony's video about the AD-1 is basically explaining why traditional methods (clamping) have flaws. What he showed you was not marketing, it was facts.

and yes, the DD-1 is better then an oscope in many ways (for setting gains), the CC-1 is better then whatever you were previously using to set crossovers (for most people, nothing), the AD-1 PROPERLY tests amps and gives accurate numbers....... of course we are going to market them as such in most cases.

You can still ride a horse to work every day but if you have a great new invention, a car, why not drive it? If you invented the car, why not preach that its better then a horse, especially if it IS.

from my point of view sensai has a HUGE point..... the other end also has good points..... but the fact of the matter is no matter how much any1 rants about it its gunna happen..... people are always gunna think that because they hop on the bandwagon that they will be cooler than other people.... its the way of the world (sad but true).

actually, if you have a 12mm bolt and only a 14mm wrench, do you grab a screw driver because you can't afford the 12mm wrench? I would rather borrow the 12mm wrench or save up for it because no matter how you look at it the screwdriver will not get the job done properly.

I have no gripe with any of the tools that are out. I have been fortunate to use them all. I welcome technology, but its those damn band-wagoners that get to the core of my soulless soul with their idiotic ramblings that come from youtube videos that someone has posted. The point is those SAME people that bash a certain product would be the same ones that would buy it if it had a different name on it. If you dont like a product, fine, that is your right, but dont bash the product!
