finkster
It seems to be cool now to run equipment to its extreme, recording tore up surround and posting it on youtube for us to see how badass you and your unfortunate equipment are for doing something stupid (no Thors hate). Sundown rates their subs waaay below what they can take because that's the RMS they can take while on a shit-ton of clipped signal, because they don't want to take shit from people saying their stuff is overrated when they didn't know how to tune their stuff in the first place. SA series can easily take 2-3x it's RMS rating daily with no sweat. I'm not bashing people who run over rms at all. I'm writing this so maybe some of the newer people can see it. Lol okay. thanks so much for pointing that out.guess you didnt read the very 2 first sentences either? Im talking about new people making threads asking this very question. And then seeing people running big power on youtube, Stop picking my shit apart like a bible. Bump4life
most people think they are overpowering their subs when in reality they arent. after impedence rise, actual power the amp is putting out, loading of subs in box and car, youd be surprised how much power your subs are actually seeing. most of the time not even close to rated especially with bigger subs. they just have to buy bigger amps to fight their design flaws with box and electrical. 8ight
Running over rated power is fine if the sub can take it, many underground brands are underrated. Most people here like to push their stuff, many people here run underground brands. Overpowering (when you can) is just a forum boner here, like Sundown amps, and electrical overkill. I'm gonna hate
