Car pulls to the right. Help

Recommended Posts

Vehicle is a 2003 Subaru forester, w/100k on it.

It pulls to the slightly all the time. It will pull harder the faster I go, and will pull fairly hard if I brake firmly.

If I jack up the front of the car, both front wheels feel like they spin with approximately the same amount of resistance.

Ideas on what this could be and/or check for it?

Check your tire pressure and if that doesn't work get a wheel balance.

Henry Ford once received a letter from a depression-era bank robber responsible for the deaths of several law enforcement officers, killed in their attempt to stop him as he fled the crime scene. In his letter, he thanked Mr. Ford for making his Model A Ford such a good getaway car.

With the front wheels of the ground I would look at tie rod ends, grab the wheel by 3 and 9 o clock and wiggle the heck out of it and listen for clunking or see if things like ball joints have play in them.

This could be a wheel bearing or tie rod end, ball joint. Many things. Compare both sides to help figure out if one side has more play than the other. It could also be something as simple as needing an alignment, some places will at least put it on the rack for cheap just to see.

Haha

Not in this one yet. Haven't had much snow over the summer :P

Would les schwab be a good place to get the alignment, balance, and brakes checked out? I know they do those services but I am wondering if they do them well

Have you checked toe angle? Just take it to an alignment shop. Could just be alignment, could be a loose part.

x2, that's what i was going to say. Make sure they both have the same amount of tread on em to get a better idea that that might be going on

What the f**k is an appropriate signature supposed to look like?

Yeah they'll check it for you. Wheel/tire shops vary in quality from plave to place, So rather than ask us, ask people in your area.

If its a tie rod/ball joint you're gonna wanna get an alignment as well.

Hit a pothole recently?

It could be a brake binding but I would say more likely when you brake theres more pressure down on the front end which would push on whatever is out of whack, making It have more prominent symptoms.

That's kinda a confusing way to say it but hopefully you catch my 'drift'

I hate long signatures....

...what the fuck is wrong wiht you you fucking fuckity fuck fuck head...
