0.5 Ohms

Recommended Posts

I have Dual 2Ohm DVC subs that can run at 8, 2, 0.5 ohms 1500w rms each.

I have no prior knowledge in this area and would like to know the effects of using low impedance such as 0.5 ohms on my system

and what do you recommend?

Subs= SoundQubed HDC3.112 Amps= Audio Technix1200.1, Sony XM4x40 & Clarion XC1410 Rear= Pioneer 6"x9" coaxial Front= Polk 6 1/4 componants Trunk Lid= Pioneer 6 1/4 coaxil Battery= Optima Yellow-top (front) Shrunken 35AH Wire= 0/2 AWG welding Cable! Alternator= 125amps Extra= Continuous duty solenoid

I recommend not doing it. Find an amp that outputs 3,000 watts at 2 ohms.

under construction

I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me.

The only reason i wanted to run at 0.5 ohms is because it is hard to find an amp in my price range at 2 ohms. Do you guys have any recommendations? anything over 2200watts rms would be great.

i would try to find a amp that are strappable and run it @ 2 ohms if u have the $$$ to do it . but i WOULD NOT run @.5

I would run at 2ohm to be safe unless you have the electrical to back up .5ohm.
