What percentage gain are we talking about? And keep in mind that a 100% gain under ideal circumstances is a 3db change. So going from a 2500 to a 3500 for example may be 1000 watts difference. Sounds big, but it is actually only a 40% difference. That 40% difference would likely only be a less than 2db gain under ideal circumstances at best. That's the way I look at increasing wattage.
