ChevyBoy95
here is what you most likely will need. 1. ~220-270a alternator 2. 3 XS D3100s and a stock location AGM (or UPS batteries for a budget option) 3. 2 or 3 Runs of OFC 1/0 Wire 4. Money for wood, screws, wood glue, dowels, all thread, yada yada yada (bunch of little shit that ADDS UP QUICK!) 5. Volt meter of some kind to watch the amplifiers voltages 6. Finishing materials like paint, carpet, spray glue, body filler, fiberglass, etc. 3 18s on 6k isnt a first system kind of system. your going from nothing to the big leagues. edit a rundown of average cost will be about : 1300-1800 bucks depending on how quality or not you go (cost range mainly dependent on battery type and alternator),none of this including subs (which you have) or amps (which you have) Edited September 26, 2012 by ChevyBoy95 Quote Best Score to Date : 160.5 dB Outlaw (47Hz)[4 XM 15's & 2 Taramps Bass 12k's] BL : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147800-chevyboy95s-4-15s-7krms-wall-1533-db-on-half-power/YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/hitemwiththeflex/
bneum
got the zero guage wood and box materials covered aswell as a volt meter, where do i get ups batteries? who should i go to for h.o. alts?
TeamHT
Never played with a v3, but the other models shined in smaller enclosures. You dont need 100^3s just because it is an 18". And i think a 55 is definitely doable here. Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
bneum
Thanks man, guess there is hope, dont see the point of a deep cycle though unless im running the batteries really low, and if they ever got to 11 id stop bumping. These deisel batteries have the same amp hours as the d3100 and are really tempting. What are the downside to running just reg car batteries besides maybe needing more

As for h/o alts consider, DC power inc, mechman, singer, excessive amperage, ohio generators, and other name brands.
