question about psi platform 3's

Hey guys its Moldy again... anybody heard of or have a psi car audio platform 3 subwoofer??? I got a 1.5 cubed box tuned at 34 hrz just wondering if the box will be big enough for a platform 3? Its says 1.65- 2.f cubed, just wondering if im giving the sub enough room to breathe properly?

will it play? of course it will.. you answered your own ?.. you have 1.5, 1.65 is the min so thats a no as far as rec specs go. if your going sealed you could use polyfill and use that box and it should work ok.. but im assuming you mean ported..

no bud, did you see anywhere in there about me asking if it will play.... no. take a look again!!! I asked if 1.5 cubes would allow it to breathe properly. not if it will play!!! Some ppls kids!!!!

no. he means it will play, but performance will suffer since the box is smaller than the smallest recommended box size.

1.5 < 1.65 so you answered your own question.

how much power? what amp you going to run and at what ohm load?

The platform 3 are good subs.I had the 18's but my BTL's put up better numbers in my box.So I switched.You actually answered your own question.If your box is 1.5 and it calls for 1.65 then of course its not big enough spec wise but it will still work. I would just give it more power to compensate for the smaller enclosure or just build a different enclosure.
