revoracing247
Dang man for one 12 sir. Shat bangin for a 12. thanks man! and here's some updates! went to the dunes here. tons of fun btw lol and then i've gotten some work done on the 6th oder! testing it out with no glue just some screws in gluing her up! and then now it's gonna live in my apartments living room for my indoor system. but here's something im all excited for! long story short, i've been looking for some way to build tons of different t-line designs so i can figure out the differences between them and what i like best/will work best in my truck. so i started looking at smaller subs and found a little 6.5" sub that has about the same fs (35hz) as big subs. which means i can build t-lines that are gonna be in the same (ish) frequency range as i want to build full scale later on. i found a Tang Band w6-1139SIF, pretty cheap and perfect for what i want to do with it. and turns out my friend had some sitting around so he sold me one of his! (talk about working out perfectly) so i finally got it in the mail from him and im gonna start some R&D here soon! fist mock up of a standard t-line using 1/8" foam core board all in all pretty excited! I was wondering since i am running a sa-8v2 in a big t line ~ 3.75ft3 (not that cubes matter, but its big) well you're getting that kind of echo(y) sound from your t-line right? you won't get that from it being in a 6th order. but so far with my six order i've only had it on 300w and already it seems to be very violent with the air lol there is a ton of port velocity and im worried it's gonna become a factor when i finally give it 800w. one thing to think about though is that when i took the Teil small perameters from my sa8 the fs was up at like 42 hz if im thinking right. that's way off from the 35.5hz that sundown gives ya on their website. idk if yours is that off but yeah. you thinking of doing a 6th instead of a t-line? revoracing247
alright so in the time i've been gone i've lost my phone and gotten a replacement so i'm missing some pictures i've taken. but i'll post what i have already and tomorrow hopefully get everything up to what i have finishing up the 6th order sa8 and then i lost the pictures of actually putting it in and what not. parts are (or were) pilling up! 40' of ofc weilding cable! fusses! got the AQ in!! and then i finally started to put my wire in! comparison photo of the stuff i used to run and the new weilding cable t-line is out and lookin pretty! and truck totally torn apart and then i don't have any other photo's of it being finished up. but i'll get some tomorrow! finished my little tang band (poster board box) done. ended up having too much flex and hurting output so i ditched it. here's the finished product. my front speakers sounded horrible so one day i decided to finally figure out how to take my door panels off and figure out why.....and i found this.... that's right. stock 1996 ford speakers! lol so i decided to ditch these and take my infinity ones from the rear and put them up front. so now i'm only running speakers in the doors. but man does it sound a lot better. and then when i have a truck, i use it! alright so that's all i have right now but more is soon to come! and trust me, it's exciting!
