I have a DD 9515 on like 1200WRMS (getitng a new amp soon hopefully), and I can feel my hair moving a bit while driving, not like lifting up or anything but enough that I can feel it on my ears and neck. Hifonics amps are overrated to hell, sorry man. I have the 1000.1d again, and its giving me 570 rms at 2 ohms, and possible 700 at 1 ohm. lol... I would check to see if you can turn the gain all the way up on the amp with zero clipping, if you can, you will know that this amp is nothing but overrated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Very possible especially in such a small car, but it needs to be a very stout 15" that can handle some power. Lower Fs the better, and send it some serious power. Certainly way more than your little Hifonics can deliver. More like 3500W and up minimum. The lower you tune it the more violent/obvious the hairtrick will be but you have to make up for the lower tuning with power. Can't skip on power when using minimal cone area, and definitely need to seal off the trunk from the cabin if you can (unless its a hatch).
