Kingsuv's Excursion. Final Chapter

Thanks!

Not sure if I want to start the under hood battery racks or the relay / fuse / distro wiring next. Depends on how many beers I have to inspire me :D

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

Tonight's progress was to make a relay bank. I needed to get this handled so I could incorporate it into the battery tray design under the hood. Simple little 6 bank relay system will handle everything I need it too.

001-7.jpg

Started out by pulling all the leads out. They never seam to be colored the way I want them.

The layout on a piece of smoked plexi.

003-6.jpg

Everything is soldered as I go.

005-6.jpg

Then the bolts get a coat of locktite

006-5.jpg

Switch in and power out ready to go.

007-4.jpg

Then made the ground bank.

009-3.jpg

Power wired up to the fused side.

DUN!

Sorry for being newb but what exactly does the relay board do? Iv seen them around but never known their purpose. If you dont care to explain im sure i can find a explantion if i search harder

Basically it is for extra shit I'm adding to the truck. I built it for the Radiator fan, the fog lights, and the Hid lights. All of these draw more power per circuit then anything in the factory electrical can handle. So what the bank does is, takes that power from a switch and sends it to the relay, the relay then "opens" up a larger circuit that can carry more power that the accessories need to work.
