TeamHT Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 I would do 4.5^3 net with 14^2 port tuned to 33hz Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
OrionStang Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 OP, pm coming. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
bkolfo4 Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 With 32 x 16 x 26, I would double the baffle, and then build a port between the subs that is 14.5 x 4.5 and 23" deep (leave a 2.25" opening inside the box on each side. That gives you 4.65 cuft tuned to 33 Hz. Or a single baffle gives you 4.8 cuft tuned to 32 Hz Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
Jordan Guess Posted October 17, 2012 Author Report Posted October 17, 2012 port between the subs for a certain reason? and also on torres it says the port bends at 23 inches long (leaving that 2.25 gap from the back wall), but is that just an error on the box calculators part?
OrionStang Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 Center port allows for the subs to load evenly. ANd there's no error on the calculator. You have to measure down the middle to the halfway point of the opening, then measure from the center to the outer edge of the port wall. Just listen to Brian, LOL, its hard to explain by typing. Jordan Guess Posted October 17, 2012 Author Report Posted October 17, 2012 so will I have to make two L shaped walls for the port? or is it still going to be straight, im trying to envision what your saying but im not possitive if my port is going to be a solid straight line of if I need to bend it for a few inches longer
