alright, i know some of you guys use pro audio for mids and highs, but ive gotta question.

I use both. I use a set of components (not saying brand) and a set.of.midbasses to.fill.in that little.bit

I use horns in my car with a conventional midbass in the doors (10") and midrange (8") in some kicks i am fabricating now. Seems to be a good mix. Soundstage is deep and wide. Vocals and instruments are above the dash but just below eye level, which I hear many people have trouble with when using horns. I would like to go full pro audio but there is little literature on the subject and only a handful of people out there doing it, as far as an sq setup; that is.

i fucking loved the horn cars i have heard but they were hardcore sq compititors and done right a horn is like a mid range tweet and were used as a 3 way set

i have heard one car with horns done wrong and it was terrible to say the least

So??? What is it exactly you don't like about pro drivers? I mean other then seeing the name on the cone, what deciding factor is it that makes you say "I hate pro drivers"

If you want to say it's based off the majority of what you have heard, then there is a bunch of all speaker types that can be hated on based off how they are used.

Pro Audio mids and highs will let you get a lot of volume from a smaller cone area due to eff. and limiting the range that the speakers can play.

So will pro audio mids and highs make you louder? YES

Will you be losing anything Sound Quality wise? YES

In the end sound quality is 100% subjective.

Those SQ guys have wings and carry wands....... Just kidding.

I want to do a pro audio set up in my tahoe but haven't been able to hear one in person to hear the difference I know if I end up doing 6-15's or 4-18's that's the way I'm going
