2012 Veloster - 1 HDC415 on 1 AQ3500.1

Recommended Posts

Apparently I change my mind really often. I'm going back to a wall build but this time its going to be loud. I'm shooting for mid to upper 50's if all goes well.

I picked up 4 HDC415's and will run them on the 2 AQ3500's.

Here we go, again...

Not true birch, but not bad.

Test fit.

I'm kinda worried about my seat blocking so much of the port like it is but we'll see what it sounds like.

Thats enough for today. If it doesn't rain tomorrow, I will make more progress and post pictures.

Them woofers are sexy af. Them dust caps

Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do that
I can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows

came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream.

oh lawd.

Thanks. These are brand new. I just had the AQ logos printed and I also got the 8 inch carbon fiber caps since they look sexy.

Couple more progress pics. I'm shooting to have this thing playing by slam but that's only if every puzzle piece can fit together. I'm still waiting on SoundQubed to ship the other 2 subs and SkyHigh to ship my speaker wire.

Got me one of these. I'm a noob with this thing and right now it sounds worse than it did just off the factory deck but I'm sure it's all in the configuration. Turns out my signal was clipped and this little guy showed me that.

Inside the wall.

Front baffle permanently installed! This to me is when it finally feels like it's all coming together. I'm getting pumped.

There are 3 oak dowels for bracing and they all tie in with each other. I also did a cross on the backside of the baffle with 2x4's so this thing is solid.

Love this shot for some reason. Will look even cooler with 16 runs of OFC coming off those toolmaker inputs.
