I have checked in multiple cars in the same spots and my reception in my car is just terrible, stations go in and out and there is just a shitload of static. Take a piece of wire about a foot long. twist up the end and stick it in the antenna hole. move the end of the wire around see if it improves your reception. I only use it in the morning to listen to a specific morning show and its my stock HU now. My 80prs just came in and I don't want to install this HU without figuring out the reception issue. The same thing happened when I had my Clarion and JVC in as well so I know its the car itself. I never cared before because I always used my iPod or my phone and when I wanted to listen to my show I just went to the website on my phone, now that I am using a BB that is no longer possible.
