Im up to a .7 now. have had a few really good games with a 2:1 kd. I messed with sniper builds a couple of times before, but would just switch back to a rifle class afterwards. I'm happy with that 7-7 for now. I keep trying to use them like Counter-Strike, but the CoD mechanics just don't really work that way. I'm so used to spamming Q (quickswitch) when I use a sniper in CS (or any weapon combo, for that matter), but Q and E are for leaning on CoD PC. My mousewheel is too smooth to use for weapon switching since it's so slippery, so I just bound next/prev weapon to the side buttons.
