you're funny do your research on hexibase and you'll see why I said what I said. Most of his designs look cool but suck ass for output. He then defends it by saying its meant to be flat. Oh wait you mean to tell me I have to sacrifice output for a flat response? As in its not loud when it should be? He will then tell you its your fault that you must have built it wrong. Regardless if you built it exactly like he drew it. He also says he models it in your car etc. Well not every car is the same. Your box position could be off from what he says he models it at and it changes eveyrthing. But thats ok believe what you want. Ill believe that if you paid this guy for a design you got took. I'm here to make sure that people just getting into audio dont get ripped off. Anything that comes out of that guy is a rip off.

oh and for the record. Just because I'm a mod and an admin does not mean i give up the ability to express my thoughts and ideas. I've been around a long time. Ive seen him saying the same stuff for years. With the same excuses. The only way you're going to be impressed is if you have never been in anything loud. He preys on noobs who dont know any better. There is not one seasoned person who thinks what he does is impressive. If you want a one off design that will blow you away try to talk John Nolte into designing you a double shot. I really hope for your "friends" sake he loves it. inch thick mdf isnt cheap and thats just more money thrown away.

It's not my enclosure so I didn't need to do research on him. My friend did so that's why I'm guessing he got Hexibass's colleague to build the box and not some person like you thinking they know everything.

I'll ignore your at first childish behavior and then I'm giving you sound advice and let my ears be the judge and proceed with my own system accordingly.

who might that be? you realize there are many Sq champs out there right? you do also realize that SQ is an entirely different animal than groundpounding or spl right? Where very little is based on the substage right?

Yes, 1" MDF is expensive and I asked my friend why. He said that Orion recommends it for their HCCA line of subwoofers but yet he ignored their suggestion of either having an up or down facing subwoofer?? so I never got that decision.

I've been in absolutely crazy systems at competitions and shows and some normal systems that were loud in their own right. He is using one 10" subwoofer and powering it with 1600+ watts RMS. The only system that I know which I could compare it to is my cousins Land Rover Defender 90 with one 12W7 in the ProWedge enclosure and one 1000/1v2 amplifier. If it hits all the right notes hen I'll be pretty impressed and will go with Hexibass. If it's not then I'll skip.
