sorry to bust ur balls jack but 10 db is actually considered twice as loud to the human ear. if u add twice the power or cone area u get a 3 db increase (theoretically)

that rule is wut i have always known. mybe in higher db levels things change but i have always learned that 10 db is twice as loud

add 3 db's to any score you post on the termlab and its twice as loud, ask anyone who competes.

"Acceptad" / "percieved" (aka to the human ear) gain of 3db would be described as "twice as loud"

Db is a log base 10 scale so "real" twice as loud is 10 db.

And the whole "double this or double that" Argument is "therotical" only or "in a perfect world" (without losses due to heat, voltage drop, etc) so all this "this is gospal" talk should be dropped.

Just build it loud, make it as clean/dirty as you can tolerate people hatin on (cuz they ALWAYS will), post proof, and let the setup speak for itself.

O you know I just do what I do.

If someone thinks they can build the same setup but louder then major props to you ...when you get done.

untill then, most people dont have a clue what it takes for this size of a build.

Ive been doing this for approx. 10+ YEARS, there is around 1200 man hours into this build. And it's still not complete.

I applaud peeps for getting loud, this is not running at .5 ohm or some rediculous load to "SQUEEZE" as much power as we can, this truck needs to play at full tilt from here to sac. 4-5 hour road trips.

It is a daily driver, I build these for other people so Im not always in the truck, therefore there can't be all these issues with the install.. IE; wires ran out of ports, amps just laying around, wires not tied down and secured.

Thanx to all the haters, this is why you have seen less and less of us running in the lanes.

We dont care all about the #'s a setup does.

We love what it is we do and that is all.

Yeah man this build has been one I've been watching...clean ass work..Sad that people dont have a clue as to what it takes to build some of these rides..so many hours!!

In your defense, I am an amateur at this stuff and have been at it for 10+ years, and although you pro's inspire me to try things that I would have never tried on my own in the past (i.e pillars), even if something else could maybe hit similar numbers to that Hummer, there is NO WAY that the install could get any better. Just the pics of the woodwork, and the bracing in the wall, and the cuts are perfect, the wire is layed out perfect and tied up perfect, and the upholstery -again- is PERFECT.

It's so easy for people to get a big ego going over the web, never having seen the thing in person or built anything like it.

I don't know how many times you guys posted that it was able to impress you, even with all your experience over the years.

I for one, think that your work is D**m impressive, if it was that easy to do, everyone with an H2 would be running around with one like that, but it don't work that way.

Your work is obviously well beyond what the haters can comprehend!

...keep up the amazing work....that is gonna be one lucky H2 owner that found you to work the install!!

Let it be judged by the few people in the world that are actually at your level of install experience.

i gotta say this thing is prolly the baddest thing i have seen. first of all hummers are very serious vehicles but when they can move shit outside of it without touching it is just insane. i love the layout of the subs too. ive seen that shape b4. keep doin wut u do im ready to watch
