Anyone ever buy an ex police vehicle?

Recommended Posts

They are hard to get loud from the trunk!

Just me buuut I wouldn't do it for all the reasons rolex stated!

If you have to go into the motor or tranny ur fucked... epically the motor, the headbolts are $$$$$ its kinda outrageous

Allthough they have good service records would you really consider buying a car that has been floored everywhere! Unless its less than 500 I WOULD NOT DO IT

Hell I still dig the Crown Vics, I say do it.

Maybe try to find a detectives car or a fire chiefs, I assume they aren't as beat to death.

I would say NO to fire chief lol... I saw 1st hand what they do to cars around here... They RUN the shit out of them haha

I think crown Vic's are pretty badass. Especially seeing one that was bagged. Kinda made me want to do the same thing lol but walled off.

If i would have know i would have hooked you up with one like three weeks ago! We had one at word as a trade in and wanted dirt for it! Thing was clean

My dad was in undercover narcotics in DC in the late 90's.

His cars ranged from a 3000GT VR4 with active air, to a corevette. He brought them home a few times. Installers did a sweet job on all the lights.

I was looking into this a few years ago cause I wanted one. Dad said to look for a cheifs car of a small town, usually they give them up due to age before mileage. And if you know the codes, you can order a crown vic with the police interceptor (P71) package anyway and get everything brand new, and have the big corvette motor :) They handle very well, though I wouldnt put it on par with my BMW, for a GM car, its pretty bad ass.

huh?

cops have not used chevy in years here in Cali.. and when they did it was the 9c1 package that had the lt1 corvette engine with iron heads.. the p71 would be a crown vic. and that for sure dont have the corvette engine.. i have owned the caprice and it owns the crown vic.. my friend owns 2 of them and they are slower and i can hear the valves ping due to running those cars lean.. the caprice is by far the fastest car they made besides the chargers now.. and the crown vic has a 4.6 but do not confuse it with the mustang gt engine.. compare it to the one on a expedition its a 4,6 2 v and the stang is 4.6 4v which has more power than the crown vic
