Namosh
Hell i cut mine, before I made the 1st payment on the truck I think I had made at least a dozen payments on mine before I got out the sawzawl! The hole I cut has had zero structural effect on my truck. My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through

OrangeJuiced
depends WHERE its cit, MOST cabs have what is almost like a hollow channel under the window that adds strength dont cut that out.. lol I had to cut part of that out because of the body drop. My bed floor has been raised 5 inches so i had to cut maybe 1.5 of that out. Honestly i feel like ive lost no structural integrity. My blow through cut is extremely small compared to a lot though. 2001 GMC Sierra Build. Body dropped and Juiced

I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

White Lightning
My cut through only made my truck stronger ... With the installation of the enclosure. The trick is to prevent water leaks ... That's why you have to make precision cuts. So the acordian boot will fit correctly. Smoove
So do you recommend cutting it with a sawsall or an air saw? Is it easier to unbolt the bed and slide it back to make room while making the cut? 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/
kingsuv
I did mine with a sawzall. I cut both the bed and cab at the same time so it was even. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. OrangeJuiced
I did mine with a sawzall. I cut both the bed and cab at the same time so it was even. I tried that and ended up ruining my sawzall blade. I just measure a couple times and drilled a straight hole through all four corners and went straight through the bed and cab. That way I knew where the corners were when I got in the cab to cut. I used a combo of electric and air grinder with cutting blades. I've also seen people use jig saws, but that seems like a pain. If you are that concerned with strength and integrity learn to weld and weld some braces in. Honestly I think you only need to be concerned if you are doing a full walk through or something. My truck has a been body dropped and the frame has been cut up. Sure it had caused some issues, but I'm getting them worked out. So far the integrity of the cab and bed is still there. Even though its all thin ass sheet metal. 2001 GMC Sierra Build. Body dropped and Juiced
White Lightning
I cut both at the same time with a airsaw (similar to a sawzall) with a short blade ... Took a while, but I was in no hurry ... Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co Questions About Sound Quality ?? Try Here ...
