ThreehundredC
i plastidipped my big chrome 22s. only prep was clean the rim and put news paper over the rotor and spray away. worked good
BEEMDUB
I would suggest just plastidipping man, yea it'll be flat black and yea it might not look AS good as painted or powdercoated...But when it comes time to powdercoat it'll cost you more in prep if you paint them than if you just plasti dip and then have to peel it off. kl0wn
I have the wheels on my MINI plastidipped. Can't post a picture right now since I am on mobile but I can later when I get off work. Easy to use though, I just cleaned the wheels with purple power, let them dry, then painted. EDIT: DropBox link to only picture of it on my phone. http://db.tt/I48xFLTT 06 Mini Cooper S Sundown, SoundQubed Cadence, XS Power 151s Sealed 155s Outlaw Windshield @ 37hz
OrangeJuiced
If you have an air compressor buy a cheap hplv spray gun from harbor freight. Get a black metallic pearl base coat. I got a quart for like $27. Then buy a nice medium or high solids base coat. High solids will give it a nice finish. A quart of that is probably close to $30 also. You won't have to get the rims powder coated. The finish will be unbelievable. 2001 GMC Sierra Build. Body dropped and Juiced
