I didn't have any fleece or mat when I did mine, so I stretched an old t shirt over it and glassed over top. Came out pretty strong too. scooter99 Posted December 23, 2012 Report Share Posted December 23, 2012 You could use wood, epoxy etc to get a back panel too. Thats what I did. I haven't used an ounce of mat on mine, and the only reason I used any resin was to make the large pocket areas stronger. But, I'll tell you what, I had started with a pan, but it wasn't perfect and that's why I didn't stick with it. Good luck to you, and I can't wait to see what you have done.
