never did a kerfed or tapered t-line but the closest i got was using large sono tube around the turns. also for an easier equation just do this

13560 / 4 (1/4 wave) = 3390

3390 / 41.7 (Fs) = 81.29"

this vid is a little old so forgive me being camera shy and not talking right, lol

^^^ how did this box end up turning out

and you got txt... build it.... cant hurt

it turned out really good and it surprised alot of people with how loud a single 15" could get. it was also very musical, it played rock, rap, country...and anything from 30-55hz

the purpose of a negative taper is to reduce standing waves and decrease enclosure size of a folded tline. A positive taper will not provide either of these and the only benefits that would be possible is if you used horn geometry, which this isnt enough of an increase to yield any advantages of a horn, at lease none that would be noticeable.

Regardless the box looks wonderful, always wanted to do a kerfed tline.

Heck yeah. How did you attach the tubes to the corners anyway?

Yeah that's what I though but wasn't sure. Although I did also design the same box in reverse. 6.9375" behind the sub to 4.625" at the mouth. That's how I've seen the majority of the home theater t-lines designed. Would it be more productive to go with a negative taper?

used a brad nail gun and tacked the tubes onto the wood in the 3 spots where the tubes and wood touch. i then put fiberlass resin all over everything and then used some filler to blend the 1/4" lip of the tube smooth with the wood.

your design also is inspiring my next t-line project and i actually messaged you on youtube a couple months ago if you remember lol

anyways as for this design the tapering does effect the length of the line. i have a calculator someone made to calculate that and i can find it if you want sojiaraggs

~ If it was easy, everybody would be doing it ~
