I havent seen many Z's with banging systems which was leading me to believe there just wasnt enough room. But ive finally figured out it's more than possible to hit some number's and still have a fully usable sports car. So here goes first up a photo of the outside of my car I just wanna BANG! Here's the first box we built. It was about 1.5cuft and tuned to 35hz, slot ported firing forward. Little ugly, but was just mainly a test. The sub of course is a DC level 2 12 that i was pushing on a B2 audio qouta wired at 1 ohm getting about 1100 watts all day, and taking it like a champ, especially since this is an older model level 2 and is rated at 300 RMS And here is the beauty panel I made to make things look a little more factory after some carpet Ok, after that, I was able to hit a 139.6 on music which song of choice was Bill Withers: "Ain't no sunshine" Decaf'd. That was on the term lab in the passenger kick, drivers door open, as is USACi standard here in texas. It burped a 140.2 at 47 hz. But that just wasnt enough. Now onto my current and "under construction" setup. Ok, so there's the new box, still awaiting trim panels to be made/finished. The sub is now a 15" B2 audio HN15 still running the B2 qouta amp, only now wired down to .8 ohm getting somewhere around 1400-1600 watts id say (note there was a bench test done on this amp and it clamp tested 1800 watts RMS at .5 ohm) I added a second battery in the compartment where my bose sub was and added stinger 0 to 4 gauge drop downs to run 0/1 into the amp, and ran all 0/1 gauge wire throughout (still need to complete the big 4, Which is hard when your car sit an inch off the ground and the alternator is underneath!) Ok now here is a picture of the B2 quota in the glovebox with the stinger drop downs and some led's. Now for my front stage, I have a set of Infinity Kappa 60.9 components 6.5". Running them is a Hand built beauty of an amp, which is a Lunar L2200 No pic of the kappa woofer, its in stock location. But I was thinking DC 8 or SA 8 sub up and port back with the box in front of the strut bar. And you gotta love how Nissan provided an amp area behind the driver seat.
