Sorry I didn't see these posts guys. I ended up not going to USF, I've been in California. And thanks stroupe. There was a lot of pondering, but it seemed like it was OK to do haha. I avoided the structural stuff and cut out the flimsy metal. There was a good gain once I did.

Well, pretty decent update. Was bittersweet. A joint in the box broke, making the side panel and baffle slap each other like mad when it hit. I deemed it unfixable, so built a new box. Now since the Sully was glued to the box, it's pretty much on there. And I don't have the funds right now to spend $70 on fur to cover another box.

So here we go:

Sliding the box in. The paint job was so fucking nice before it got into my car. Scratched the fuck out of the edges but thank goodness you can't really see it.

Box in. This build is seriously so fucking packed. The amps actually sit on top of the first row of subs' gaskets. And hang over the box by like an inch. And have about 1/4" of clearance from amps to the trunk lid.

Although I'm in the middle of trying to fix it since its a rather complicated box that doesn't slide in and out of the car.

Also on a sidenote, for the people who don't have me added on facebook. I went to home depot yesterday morning to get the wood for this box. I got the sheets cut for 50 cents per cut and the guy gave me a paper to give the cashier. Gave the cashier the paper, and I also bought 2 tubes of Loctite glue, and sandpaper. My total came out to like $4 LOL. She thought the wood was included in the price for the cuts. Hahahahaha. Would've been like $80.
