Team Maxxsonics John Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 You can strap the amps if you get a strapping module (Maxx-Link). Do not run the amps strapped at 1-Ohm....you will certainly damage them.
SnowDrifter Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 Well... You can strap pretty much any amp. The only difference is whether it "natively" supports it or if you have to get something to handle that externally. But that being said, I wouldn't strap cheapo budget amps at 1 ohm. That's just asking for trouble ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

That's just asking for trouble Yes, you can strap pretty much strap any mono amps (not multi-channel amps..2, 3, 4.... channel) with a strapping module. I also strongly advise against strapping any set of mono amp rated at 2-Ohms when the factory rates the amps at 1-Ohm stable per amp. If someone tells you it's ok, send an e-mail the manufacturer and ask them. If they say it ok in the body of the e-mail, post it... I would like to see who says that is ok (and of course if they will warranty it if it fails.
