HatersGonnaHate
So back in late December/early January, my roommate got rid of his beat up ass 83 F-150 and picked up a 93 BMW E36. We don't really have any before pictures, but it was white, dropped on Corvette rims and coilovers, painted with house paint. Previous owner was a moron with that move. Looked good from far, but far from good. Shawn wanted to stand out more with the car, so we took the idea from Don's Jeep and decided to plastidip it. So dipyourcar.com sent us 3 gallons of purple plastidip and the sprayer and we got started on it. There is barely any prep work to be done when plastidippng, unless you've got body damage, then of course fix that. But aside from that, just wash the car, let it dry, mask off what you don't feel like peeling off later, like the windows and lights, then start spraying down some dip. On to the pictures.... This was the first paint job, taking it from white to purple, then he realized the final product was too bright lol Covered in dip A minute later My name is AdamThis is my Civic Build.7" Samsung Tab 2Kenwood KDC-X896Clarion EQS746Sundown X-15DC 3.5k @2ohmHatersGonnaHate's 02 Civic UBLELD Bypass for Honda Civic/Accord/FitDon's Jeep Grand Cherokee Rebuild N8ball2013 - i think you'd stick your dick in a blender if it told you it was 40 wtih two kids your age. lol srp365 - If posting were picking up bitches, I'd be going home single tonight looks like tony montana sneezed in your car. HatersGonnaHate
This is round 2. Nothing wrong with the paint or durability on the car whatsoever, just after a month, he realized that it was way too bright haha. So we pulled it in, washed it off, dried it. Then sprayed it down with a few cans of black plastidip to take some of the brightness away from it. Taped off the windows and wheels and got started. He's getting custom license plates that say GRIMACE on them too. Already sprayed down with black dip My name is AdamThis is my Civic Build.7" Samsung Tab 2Kenwood KDC-X896Clarion EQS746Sundown X-15DC 3.5k @2ohmHatersGonnaHate's 02 Civic UBLELD Bypass for Honda Civic/Accord/FitDon's Jeep Grand Cherokee Rebuild N8ball2013 - i think you'd stick your dick in a blender if it told you it was 40 wtih two kids your age. lol srp365 - If posting were picking up bitches, I'd be going home single tonight looks like tony montana sneezed in your car. jdw46
My worry with plastidip is what if someone just happens to scratch it and then it peels off? 2000 stratus10 SunDown E-10s Singer 250amp Alt Xs Power D975Concept c2400All 0 gauge wire10 6 1/2's in Rear Doors
HatersGonnaHate
Thanks Kyle! jdw, this stuff is ridiculously durable. It was on there for close to a month and his keys have scratched it and whatnot, and it turned out to be more of a blemish, not even a scratch, the little blemish buffed right out. Don has had his Jeep dipped for 8 months and has had absolutely no problems with it either. The thicker you apply it, the more durable it is.
