Swordlordboy1234
How do you guys go about dealing with weight issues in your cars? My car only has (2) 43 lb subs, a 20-30 lb amp... And (2) 50-60 lb batteries, but the rear end sits really low. I figure before I can attempt a wall I should address the weight handling of my car. 96 accord ex sedan. I'd appreciate any hints on places to look to beef up springs or weight handling. kirill007
If the rear end drops too low with only 200pounds, then there is something wrong with the springs(/shocks). The car should be able to handle 500-600 pounds easily/safely. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
SnowDrifter
Lower the front to match You can get stiffer springs, or spring spacers ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Pulled the old shocks/springs out, and one was completely blown and the other was a on it'sway. It's a '96, if you'e sitting low with what you have now chances are you're stock suspension is just worn out. I say look into helper bags or all new rear springs. My Channel on YouTube. Swordlordboy1234
It's not that it's an unsafe drop.... But it's a good inch or so drop.... And I'm thinking if it drops that far like that imagine what it looks like when I wall it off........ I have had 4 people in my car plus the bass so its not as blown as some may have thought. But I deff need to look into some of that when I'm ready to wall her My old YouTube channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/SwordLords1234?feature=mhee My old build log : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161872-96-accord-b2-sundown-sky-high-dc-power-re-re-build-for-heatwave/page-37 My New Build - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/207041-2016-mazda-6-sql-build/ 2016 Mazda 6 Touring JL Fix 86 - OEM signal correction B2 prototype DSP 6to8 B2 Ref63 - 3 way active set 2 B2 Class H quattro's 1 B2 Zero.5R @.5 2 B2 HNv3 12 d2 B2 SLIP40 - Lithium in the trunk Northstar Group 35 under the hood 100ft 2/0 welding cable 30ft 4ga welding cable 20ft 8ga welding cable All stinger OFC speaker wire Soundrive custom RCA's Tons of attention to detail.... bassfreake
Mine is bad enough that when I've got my 20s on if it's just me and i hit a bump it scrapes and if i got anyone in the back seat then it scrapes the ties on the wheel well almost constantly... And I've only got 2 15lb subs and a sealed box and no amp right now... I'm looking into swapping out my springs Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out.
