96 DemoCCord. 150@32hz in a trunk + 3way SQ front stage

Recommended Posts

Now for some photo updates. :) Got her looking nice and pretty now ;)

Went junk yard diving for panels. Here is what i found.

Then i re tapped off my back seat, and took off the plastic seat backing that I've always carpeted over before... Found a mint one at the junk yard :D

Got the carpet kinda pre cut a little... and some more glue.

Money shot of new panels and carpet :D :D :D :D :D haven't seen my car look this nice ever.... especially not with bass in it.

20141026_163603_zps4yytluod.jpg

And just because OEM... i even added the little push clips to help hold the carpet. Carpet job isn't PERFECT but i think its a huge improvement.

Now i get to look back at this every day.. Makes me so happy to finally see my vision FRONT TO BACK come alive.

20141027_114735_zps2gqr3df0.jpg

and just for a reminder.

So to review. At this point, I have a 148db ride in the mid 30hz range. I have a fully active time aligned front stage, with great imaging, tonality, and clarity with a good bit of volume... WHILE looking almost OEM. I have a almost OEM looking seal off with custom built subs and a sexy ass box. The trunk looks amazing, everything tucked away and i still have room for tools and can get my spare tire and jack if needed. I have enough deadener to keep everything quiet (going to replace with b2 deadener soon) and i have the electrical to keep it all above 13.1v no matter what i play. 24hz to any HZ you wanna talk about. I can play it. And i can play it for a LONG TIME. I just ride around full tilt now everywhere i go and i don't even look at the voltage or worry about my subs.

The accord audio portion is coming to a close. There will still be updates on it.. But she is finally done. AFTER 2 LONG YEARS. DONE. Its almost surreal for me.

Fully up to date mechanically, loud, clean, great sounding daily driver that can seat 4 people. <3 YES!!!!!!!

DAMMNNNN, that's clean! Love those B2's!

Voted for ya. Trunk guys gotta stick together... ;)

Really dig how its all coming together. A loud functional trunk. Same thing I'm going for.....if I ever finish mine the way I want it.

:good:

BTW...ever meter your subs with the rear seat in different locations?

Try it with the seat up at 45 degrees.

Since mines on an actuator, I've tried a few different angles.

I gain a few tenths with it up at 45 degree angle...as opposed to all the way down.

Weird, I know, but it worked.

I haven't tried that wicks! But my car isn't as fancy as yours. Seats either up or down lol. Might try it by putting some clothes or a backpack under the seat so it can't go down as far.... Lol

Overall 10ths are not on my agenda. Just getting everything as perfect as possible. Including this stupid coil rubbing sub, its a blessing and a curse how little it rubs. Just enough to make a little noise but not enough to ever do any damage to the coil. At least not quickly..

Much appreciate on the vote brother! Won't matter this month but I'm gonna keep trying.

It will never be as nice as your car but I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out. Every day this week I have looked at my subs / seal off and just stared at it. LOL. But thanks for checking in! Thought you forgot about the accord :)

One of these days we'll be able to exchange demos... as it stands, I will not be playing by TD.... DSS has pushed the dates back a whole month smh.. I was supposed to have them by now but I guess it was too good to be true!

Well... You could always pick up some SA's for cheap and see how far you could push them while at TD. won't be ethos... But hey. It will be bass and some of the most bad ass subs ever made dollar for dollar.

Its louder at my peak then your demo at heatwave, and because of my foam weatherstripping and stuff the lows are a whole new monster my car has never had before. The more flex I kill the louder the lows get. I think you will be even more pleased hearing it at TD!

That would be ideal, but I plan to go ahead and rebuild my door panels since DSS is delayed. Also I plan to have my enclosure baffle and port stained by Daniel so I don't plan to screw Sa's in that sexy ass box lol I'll wait and let the Ethos do the honors haha (as much as I hate the wait). I'll be 100% before next season for sure! I have everything except my subs (including my T2500bdcp :D )... just waiting patently!

I can't wait to hear it bro!! every time we meet you improve a LOT! I'm ready to hear them B2s! and I hope that's true because I'm gonna try to kill my roof flex with foam and knu 80mil... I was gonna do tantric but I'm sure the knu and foam will be enough!

i may or may not have seen a new vid..

I may or may not have heard this today.

It may or may not have played literally all day.

Jeff may or may not have only been at his car for 20% of the time.

It did sound a hell of a lot better than the X's did though. Every bit as loud, a lot more in the lowend.

Freakin josh... LOL

So the story behind this was, i am trying to blow my subs since one has slight slight coil rub only audible at low volumes when its dead ass quiet and I'm on like volume 15 out of 56. but I'm a perfectionist.

So i got to turkey drag, put on my favorite decafs playlist of 140+ songs. put my volume on 56, and put my bass knob on 80%, both doors open, and just walked away for an hour at a time. Id come back and check on my subs and amps every hour. Did that from 8:15 to about 1:30. I left at 3:15 because gf had work.

And anyone that asked for demos id just change tracks to a good demo song, close the doors, full tilt it for a full song, then continue right back to 80% bass full volume both doors open. So it played for about 4-5 hours straight with about 12 full tilt full song demos. Id call that a success. :D The amps NEVER got above 70f, and the subs NEVER got above 90 on the dust cap.

Also gave a couple SQ demos with my new time aligned set up with them in the driver seat everything all sealed up, got some great reviews there also.

"you have SO MUCH depth its retarded" was one. Another one was "I can't believe how clear and life like your doors sound, great mid bass, and those tweeters sound amazing"

just a great turkey drag 2014.

next show ill actually take some videos of my car for demos and when i just let it all hang open like i did at TD. LOL

Oh and i officially matched my highest score of 147.6 at 34hz again. Slightly disappointed the new subs couldn't get me a 148. But my low end is worlds better, and i can play all day, so thats a win in my book.

Vid posting now :D

Car sounds good, your front stage reminds me of my gmc

Thanks thomas. I love my front stage. But your fucking f150 screwed up my ear with the infection. I couldn't hear above 2000hz yesterday all fucking day after your truck. drove home feeling half deaf. Today is much better, slight tennitus still. Not sure on my hearing response as i haven't sat in my car but it feels much better.

Note to self. Dont go to car show with a ear infection.

FTS.

Here was the demoCCord all laid out for turkey drag 2014. Literally sat like that at idle all day long playing almost full tilt, until someone asked for a demo in which case it would be full tilt full song demos :D

Peep the new team logo.

Officially on Team Sound Pressure with a bunch of my local buddies. Great guys and I'm glad to be apart of something bigger then myself.
