Edit I've literally put this song on repeat and just drove around town to do my errands because its one of the easiest on my voltage but my loudest/2nd loudest to the ear.. Its safe to say i know ever damn word now though.

So your final decision is the X's ??

Did you just say "FINAL DECISION" with car audio as the subject

Well they take the power and mechanically i don't think i could hurt them. Id burn the coil due to low voltage and clipping before i hurt them in any other way with the power i have. We shall see though.

Loudness is about the same as my XFL95's but the fact that i can full tilt 20hz is a little silly. Not that you can hear much but it sure is funny to look at. They have SO much excursion.

But i have a couple other goals for the system in the works now. Im hoping that the X's can finally help me put the bass portion to rest. I might redo 1 section of carpet which would require removal of the X's but thats just me being picky. Im sure you can relate mr wood.

Maybe I should've rephrased that LOL

Thats good to know, that they can handle what you throw at them.. it'll definitely give you a peace of mind knowing you can move to the next project!

Quick question about your experience with the X's ... are they versityle? Ik they're supposed to be low end monsters but I'm all about mainstream music, not much into decaf...

And I know PLENTY about being picky LOL

Unless your doing a 4th order they won't play above 40hz loudly in my opinion. Decaf only. But this is my opinion only. For music i have many other subs id pick before these, again just my taste in music. But mechanical stability and extreme lows... X's all day every day.

It's a nice feeling being able to play that low isn't it? Lol

Well i wouldn't call it playing. They move like hell but you can't hear anything and i don't have enough cone area to really have air movement ... soooo.. But I will agree is nice to basically be able to full tilt any song and not stress mechanical stuff. Right now my only stress is voltage!!!! I seen 12.9 on the way home just now :(
