Whole mixtape isn't bad Yea I think it's because they "combine" the low note with a higher note. I forgot what it's called but a lot of producers do it now. You can tell the difference between a regular bass note and one like this.

Sozzzz Posted February 15, 2013 Author Report Posted February 15, 2013 Yeah here's a really good example of it the low is around ~30hz in that song but it sounds a lot higher. If you run this song like this through Audacity you will see the 3 main bass notes but you will also see 3 other notes at higher frequencies. I tried to illistrate it but I'm not the original producer so I'm not 100% sure which notes he used with the lower notes to make them seem higher.
