I think it´s you electrical, your sub´s are good and your amp isn´t the total crap. If im right Volkswagen have a typical tiny alt and a wet cell isn´t that caraudiobatt.

Idk what biggest baddest battsize you can fit under the hood, to replace them with a AGM batt. If therre isn´t enoug space buy 2 of those http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/144556-dont-seem-like-a-bad-deal/ 1 for under the hood and 1 in the trunk.

I had a BRZ 1200 a while ago. It was always loud for me. Pulled a 143+ sealed with it at 1 ohm nominal on an HDC3 18 but my voltage was pretty sturdy. Maybe it's not your amp at all. What car do you have? It could be that your car is louder and lower when your windows are down?

It's a volkswagen golf 4-door hatchback 2011. Actually now that you mention it the difference between the windows being up and down is night and day. but what does that have to do with the efficiency of the amp

nothing to do with the amp at all. you have to do alot of testing and calculating to figure out how to build around the various resonating frequencies of the car.

anyways. it looks like youre just doing a daily driver.. so i would go with a new battery for starters. and depeding on how big youre wanting to go a new alternator might be on that list.

I like your idea. I might just do that as an experiment i mean if they're only 90 bucks who cares. Would my alternator hold up to it though?

your alternator wont struggle anymore charging two batts over charging one battery. it will just split up the charging amperage to each one. taking longer to charge all the way. if your battery juice runs low you risk killing the battery which will cause the alternator to try and charge that battery with a higher voltage. idk if that car is pcm regulated. but having a crap battery that is always dead will put strain on your alternator

It doesn't have to do with the amp. I was saying that it might not be the amp because those amps are fairly sturdy even though they can be a little on the hungry side. Strong electrical is always important, but it sounds like acoustics to me.

For some people acoustics are amazing, and to some acoustics can be a bitch.
