What in Gods name happened to my amp? Lol

Ive heard from plenty of people on here that shock tower ground is good. But even them i have the wire from the front batt wired to the same point. So it's almost liked a direct ground from front to back. Its like that because of the wire lengths i had.

Strut tower under the hood maybe, but ive never seen anyone use the one in the pacel tray's post. Still tho, why go from the front battery to that ground point, from the ground point to the rear battery? Id of ran it straight to the rear battery and then have a seperate ground wire to the frame.

Okay so here's the update. I was driving to work. And I was planning on reaching up and feeling the terminals once I was here to see if they were hot or anything like that. Well I ended up having to pull over about 20 minutes into the drive because I could smell burning plastic. So I'm just like what the fuck, then I look at the terminal, and it's sagged even more and I touched the plastic with the tip of my finger and it was like hot glue, lol..

Then I noticed the wire jacket was melting as well. The entire length of the cable coming from the distro block was scorching and I could just pull the wire out of the terminal. (This was the power wire btw) the wires going to the distro block, battery, etc are all perfectly normal temp and condition.

Edit: I also made sure that NO WIRES were bridging or touching, and none were. Since I could pull the wire out easily, I am thinking that it wasn't tightened enough and wasn't getting enough contact. I don't know. I'll have to take the amp out and cut the plastic away on that side of the terminal so the wire can be fit back in.

The amp has the power/ground wires disconnected for now until I can work on it.

Didn't watch the video. Where is amp ground?

Amp grounds to batt, which grounds to a rear shock tower post, then I have a length of 1/0 OFC coming from my front batt negative to the same post, so they meet there. It's like that because the length of wire I had was too short to have it laid out like I wanted it to.

Yep, that's what I'm hoping it is. Totally fried my piece of Welding cable, it's all blackened and it's like crushed and falling apart. Gonna put another piece of wire in and really clamp down on it this time and go out and wang on it and watch the terminals for about a half hour.
