stroupe79
I think some of the big installs go overboard with the tweets, I mean 4 or more tweets per door or Apillar seems a bit much even with 150db of bass behind it... the thing I notice the most is lack of midbass to keep up, either it's just not enough midbass woofers or they aren't getting enough power...I think tweeters are sometimes overpowered and end up sounding harsh too... http://www.stevemead...cherokee-build/ 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Alpine CDE-hd148bt Alpine PKG-RSE2 PRV Audio (4) 6MB200 front/rear doors PRV Audio (4) TW350Ti dash/rear doors Kicker KX350.4 Obsidian Audio (1) 18 D4 v2 revamp (2) Stereo Integrity HT 18d2DC Audio 1.2k5.25ft^3 tuned @34hz revamp Infinite Baffle Cpillar AudioTechnix 60mil deadenerKnuKonceptz & SkyHigh wire (complete setup)

Bump4life
run active, and cone area. cone area equals better midbass, louder without stressing limits of speakers and DD B2 tweets. loudest super tweets made. these things scream Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. sweendog
Pro audio drivers, Reelfish's setup sounds clean as fuck just to name one. I guess a lot of comp sets would work too.
reelfish92
Tune it correctly. Run active with a Pioneer 80prs. There are some nice pro audio speakers out there. So it has to be use with only that hu? And don't you think most of them would of tuned them correctly? Not what I said, "only" lmfao, were you there? That headunit is a great start though, 3 way active, 16 band EQ, etc... I heard a lot of those vehicles at SBN. A few of the really loud ones distorted at a closer range and needed to be re-tuned... Maybe the owners or builders ears are so damaged so they "thought" it was tuned and sounded alright. Oh and I am not a Sundown fan, but the neo-pros sound so nice in all the set ups I have seen. mrd6
Two sets of quality components on 200+ rms per side, installed correctly will have no problem keeping up with 150dbs...mid 150s might take a bit more power or another set depending on the vehicle and setup. Good speaker positioning and instrall is key, one set of components on axis is going to be waaay louder than 2+ sets installed 60 degrees off axis aimed at your seats.
