bighossf150 Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 Imo circle d is the way to go, I used to run a 4c and it was a beast. Used to have a loud truck 2009 Corvette Z06, H/C/I, 150 shot, g force tune, 730rwhp/690rwtq 2013 F-150 limited, MPT Tune, leveled on 35"s
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 That stock trans will not hold that power. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
Miguels Posted November 19, 2015 Author Report Posted November 19, 2015 That stock trans will not hold that power. it depends how i drive it.. if im constantly on the throttle it wont but regular driving it wont harm it. the 4l60e can be made to handle the torque just have to put in a beast sun shell and a hardened shaft.. my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
memphisBred Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 I'd stay away from Yanks SS model unless you have them put in a hardened hub and an anti-ballooning plate. I've had two SS3600 balloon on me. The hub wears quick too. Give Phoenix Transmission a look. Nobody knows more about the 4L GM transmissions than the owner Greg Ducato. Miguels Posted November 19, 2015 Author Report Posted November 19, 2015 First bad reviews I seen from yank. All is seen are positive and everyone in the impala forum are advising to get it. They don't seem to have an issue As to the 4l60e not handling the power. People have used the stock one on the ls swap and they say if I'm not constantly drag racing I will be good. It's not the horsepower thats kills a transmission it's the torque and how fast does it receive it. If I take it easy I won't have any issues. The trans will get a performance rebuild later my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
ToNasty Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 He's right. I'd go with circle d over yank ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
