How to multiple smaller subs stack up against a few big subs

I think price could also play a factor. Sometimes it's just cheaper to go with 2 bad ass 18's then it is something like 6-8 12's. But sometimes more smaller subs would work better. I want to do 8 8's in my trunk. An it should be in the same area of cone area as 2 18's (8 8's would be less still), but yet I can't fit 2 18's in my trunk. many factors come into play when people will choose there subs. An sometimes it's just for wow factor. Look at foxes 12 SSD 10's. WOW!

My build

Another thing, with multiple subs, theres more coil to heat up, and more motor force.

I did the 12 10s because that gave me the most cone area, with the amount of air space i have. And it works...rather well

Not to get off track from all the douchebaggery going on in here, but what about multiple lower power subs like 6-8, 300-500rms, 12's vs 2, 1200-1500rms, 12's on the same power (~3000 rms) so long as they are in the proper sized box?

He was taunting me. He's all like "come at me bro!" So I'm like "I'm coming at you bro!" And he's like "hey, fuck you" *chomp*. Then I killed it. I win.

and

the girls just wanted your number for there gay friends!

I love how Eric has NO backup to the other shit coming out of his mouth, so he just bashes the guy with lambo doors on his Taurus. FOR THE RECORD, I've got multiple phone numbers from women because of the doors... So... I mean apart from the few random gay guys that want my penis, the phone numbers from random chicks is definitely worth all the trash talk I get.

When all else fails in your logic, start e-bashing with your giant e-penis. GG bro.

And still does not prove what he is saying is right
dont have to. all you guys do is bash others opinions . i have been installing for 15 years and never has bigger subs sounded better than multiple smaller subs for sq . that was my "opinion" in the first post. do some research and find a competing sq car with 18s in it then get back to me.

Yeah you're right. I mean look at this. 50's at 28hz. Shit's weak.

I've seen monkeys use ipads and you can't even find the area of a circle.

i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah..

You want this to happen to you? Give decent handshakes people.

Every install isn't the same, but generally on the same power, cone area wins.

There's also more than cone, but also displacement.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

I'm curious because I'm thinking about getting rid of my 2 DD3512's and going with 6-8 lower power 12's but don't know if it's a good idea. Either way will be in the extended cab of a Nissan hardbody.
