If you're glassing, 2 layers. TB II and done son. If you didn't want to

glass, 3 layers. To add strength, is there a way you could do the first layer sunk INTO the shell and the next layer on the outside? I realize this would affect your interior volume, but get with your enclosure guys and see if that is doable.

My opinion is that doing it like that would strengthen your joint. It would be a stair stepped joint and stronger rather than just 90°. This again, is purely my opinion.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

No.. it is NOT doable.. Where you see the baffle is where it needs to be.

I was told BIG THE BIGGEST SHELL YOU CAN.. well, i did, then, i hit 39 cubes.. lol

Sooooo..

Now you understand that, and see where i need to lay.. what and how would you do this?

I was gonna do 2 layers. A back bone of 2x's (like i did on the front baffle) on the OUTSIDE to get it to "land" where i want. Glass all seams on the inside. Resin everywhere.

then, a run of 2xs like i did on the outside... THOUGHTS PLEASE??

What about some steel angle and carriage bolts? That shit wouldn't be going anywhere. 2x4's would work also.

IMO if a joint in done right, there should be plenty of strength even without 2x's. I always like to go overkill though. :D
