Real96SS
So with the dimensions you gave in your first post it seems like your doing a wall for 4 15's in a 4th? Is that not the case? ToNasty
I told you to angle the subs. they don't have to be straight up and down ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
mrd6
Right, but the thing is, you could angle the baffles to get your extra height you need and fit them. But, it sounds like you are set on a 4th. How much ar space are you planing to have sealed per 15? What are you going to tune to? he said 5.25 per ported and 1.75 per sealed. Oh thats right, did he say what he plans to tune to? My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL

Real96SS
He could possibly be louder with the 4 15's though in a 4th than 4 18's in a flat wall. Its possible and whoever said Nic watts gained by dropping to 12's, he only gained on his own TL at home in his driveway but at the show he actually lost. MrSkippyJ
of course it is possible. but he already has the 4 18s. Why go through the effort of changing equipment when he can get what he wants with what he has. But he is speaking as if there is no other possible outcome except the 4th order being better. Thats one hell of a chance to take if you are asking me. Real96SS
It is just a chance but sometimes we have to take them to find out what we really can do. Did he even say what numbers he was doing with the 4 18's? MrSkippyJ
na, but he was comparing it to someone doing 160s with 15s in a 4th. What I really can't wrap my head around is why he doesn't try a different box with what he has. THEN, if he doesn't like the results go from there. Miguels
why cant he just build a 4th for the 4 18's? 2.5 sealed per sub. 20 cuft ported, thats 2.1 ratio and only 2 cuft more my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
