Mobileaudio25 Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Im running 1 run of 0 ga knu ofc kolossus wire with a 180 amp alt on 4k watts. i have 3 batts one xs1200 and 2 deka group 34 batts. My one run is about 30 feet, but im going to re route it so that im more along the lines of 20. it says a maximum of amperage of 325 amps can be pulled through a 20ft run if i remember right... im grounding to the frame so that run is parallel from positive to the positve in rear and then over to my other batt. am i safe with one run or would i benefit from another run?
8ight Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 You don't necessarily need it but you are the point where you would benefit from it. You have to be at or close to the limit of that one run if you really have a 4kW load. I'm gonna hate
