P4killer_ Posted April 27, 2013 Report Share Posted April 27, 2013 Got my Kandi power wire in today. Ive used Knu since forever and their wire has ALWAYS been oversized. I have always been very happy with the price/ performance of Knu CCA. NOT TODAY. I have many old, super old, 1 year old pieces of Knu CCA, and they all look the same. I just cut a piece of the old CCA with a SIKK and also included some old 4ga Knu CCA for comparison. The bottom is the older oversized CCA, then the Kandi, the some old 4ga CCA. Now i know, when making budget minded purchases you usually cant expect top notch results.. but it was always dif with KNU imo. The Kandi wire looks like normal 1/0 .. which is fine. I still used it.. but you can feel the difference in weight when you pick it up. I opened the box picked it up, like wow that feels light.. ugh oh. all in all in the pic its smaller than the old version and not toooo much bigger than the old 4 ga.. idk the green color is great, but not if you wanna stop giving me the quality im used to.. theres nothing wrong its still 1/0, but not like im used to. I guess this happens to every company at one point.. great value for a great product, then they eventually join the rest and start cutting back and or jack up the pricing. oh well SHCA ftw i guess now, but for how long? Lol And oversized 1/0 sucks anyway. Hard to fit in ring terminals and amps. I mean its still 0 gauge wire so I don't see the problem.Plus for what your running you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the 2 with your system anyways.
