So why not make a buss bar that slides into all the positive inputs then negative and then have the wire connect to the buss bar. That away you can do more than what the amp has now, but dont have to actually do double. you could do 1.5x more That is a pretty good idea and would look sweet but I need to fuse the amps individually. Would have been interesting to see some type of numbers with the dual inputs and without(like db's or watts). Just to see the difference, but it's all good. Probably not going to be too big of a deal seeing as your batteries are mearly inches from the amp's. I mean your longest run to your amps was just a few feet, unless I missed some. But I'm no pro, glad you found what works the best for this build! best of luck with the rest of it, cant wait to see it rippin and a tearin' people's faces off!!! That's been proven on 5,000-40,000 watt systems.

pstone11 Posted May 25, 2013 Author Report Posted May 25, 2013 OK, here are some pics - got the wheels back in from powdercoat, threw on some black splined lugs and painted the outer rim studs black. I love how they look. The powdercoater hates me now because the rims were in such bad shape but she did a really nice job of making them respectable. Also did some gloss black on the center caps and had my buddy who is a crazy model painter do the logos in a nice red for some contrast. I love how they look. pstone11 Posted May 25, 2013 Author Report Posted May 25, 2013 Since I pulled all of the power wires out of the back temporarily I figured it would be a good time to make the actuation much better. I went through a couple of brands of actuators, modified some and tried to get something I really liked but was never 100% happy with the smoothness, sound, or speed of them. I finally went through a ton of companies and found one that made a nice track actuator that had decent speed and is very quiet. Love it. It went through quite a few modifications since the motor was larger and mounted vertically since it was driven by a wormgear instead of 180 degree gear drive. I pulled the old mount and made up a new one that moved it back about 3", then it was on to measuring, shimming, hinging, cutting, moving the limit switches around the track until they were perfect. So, it started as a 22" non adjustable actuator and now it's an 16.5" little monster. Left is the new one. Check out StoneSounds to see my recent builds.Or look at the Flying White Facebook Page!
