IndianaBassHead Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 And that right there is why I would've went to the guys house thhe minute I saw the post. Not to do any physical damage necessarily, but to scare him. I would tell him to either give me the equipment or I will call the police to his house then and there... and if that doesn't work... It would have to get physical. VomitUrSoul Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 We had a 1940 Ford deluxe stolen a few years back and the police here didn't do shit. We had a detective from Birmingham say that he had a good idea where it was at, even said that he saw a car matching the pictures at the location along with many other stolen goods but couldn't get our local police to help in any way. They raided the place, but it took them a few days to get everyone to cooperate and the car was gone by then. They did catch the guys though but the car is long gone now. It was a local guy that did it that my dad knew (not friends or anything, its a rural town so everyone knows each other). Don't really trust cops to get my shit back anymore though. EDIT: Yea like the others said, in hindsight it probably would have been better to call him or get a friend to act interested in buying one or all of the subs then go with him to see them. Once you knew that it was all your stuff then confront him about it and try to get it back. Of course not physically unless he starts something and it is just absolutely necessary. Since the stuff was stolen, what would he do? Call the police? lol Sometimes the police will help but other times they just don't care enough to get involved. Of course its too late for that now. If anything was to happen then they'd know that you was probably involved. Just hope everything comes out good for you man. Can't stand thieves. Chris Hammer Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 Exactly my point on going to get them yourself. Beating the shit outta him would be nice, but just taking your stuff back would be the best way to do it. I would still show up at his house and do a drive by a few times, look for the subs if his garage is open, maybe sitting outside if he doesn't care about them. If you see em take that shit back. I bet he didn't sell them but realized they are worth keeping. MY BUILD *****http://tinyurl.com/gmcbuild***** Vehicles 2005 GMC Canyon CB1000r - Currently where any future funds are going. Benji0687 Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 Guys, you gotta be careful what you do. I had several grand worth of equipment stolen several years ago, and the cops didn't give a shit, even with my dad being a civilian PD employee and the car was in his name (I was under 18). Long story short, I found out who did it, there was a confrontation, ended up putting the guy and his friend in the ICU after he came after me, but they still tried to prosecute ME even when it was SELF DEFENSE. In heinsight, I wish I had just had better insurance. Now I have something on my record and it won't go away....all because of someone stealing some stereo equipment. 1989 Chevy Caprice Classic350ci V8 High Performance JVC Arsenal HU JL XR series components Infinity Reference 6x9s Pioneer Premier 4-Channel Clarion 2-Channel Rockford Fosgate Series 1 2-Channel Fusion 2000.1D MTX Crossover RF, Knu, Kicker, and Monster wiring NVX VCW 12in.
