if op is asking about 500 rms i think its a little early to be talking about upgrading to a 2k system.

Yes wire them in parrell but bridge the amp

So + from 1ch and - from other

Then you'll get 310rms 155 a piece

But the amp is only stable down to 4 ohms bridged... Unless it can handle it. I don't have any experience with Orion, just going off the manual.

$200 for new tires, on a jeep!? Is she stealing them or building them with a heat gun and rubber bands?

You hear that????

Didn't see that till after I posted

Still bet you in the edit through lol

No one is talking him into a 2k system

Just allowing for future upgrades

When the differance between the 2 might only be 1-200

- Welcome, welcome, welcome!

I have what I refer to as the "original" Type-E's in my '82 El Camino ... Two 12's in a very small sealed, buried behind the seats where the OEM spare tire goes/went ... about 210W/ sub ... rather loud for that small of a cabin ... plus 4" Type-X components in the front door kicks. It was a show car, & I did not need anything outstanding in it, ... I like(d) hearing the grumble of the 406 cubic inches of SBC power under the hood instead ... :)

But stick around, you will learn MUCH here, ... I did/am!

Be well,

Zeke

in that case i would suggest an amp that may be a little larger than he needs and the capability to strap. thats a good way to have a small amp for now but be prepared for the future. my personal idea is the aq750.1 strapable and is 500 rms @2ohm

Myself idd do the aq1200 for only $20 more

And set gain at around -3

Instead of the norm <-10

You'll get a cleaner signal and allow for a much wider range of choise when the time comes for boom

^^ this man always gives good help lol

and OP after the amp upgrade, look into building your own ported box for them. it'll take up more space but you'll definitely be able to tell the difference!

~ If it was easy, everybody would be doing it ~
