Take a look at what I used to run and you'll see I don't buy any old junk and I take it quite seriously. People running around abusing people by brand choice and bragging on behalf of a brand (OMG DID U KNOW ALAN DANTE DID 180DEEBEEZ????) just pisses me off. Sure it is great gear, excellent sound quality and rather loud (I got 153.6dB from mine, in a musical system, let's see these braggers and what their daily ride does??) You'll find most of these braggers don't even run good DD gear, they'll most probably run 3500 series or lower and get shut down by us REAL 'DD big boys' and become laughing stock. Don't trip on what gear you run as most likely, with advice from here you'll get good gear. 01xtreme Posted February 20, 2008 Report Share Posted February 20, 2008 rule number one: if your not doing a 150 you cant claim you CAN do a 150 (or a 155). do it first, talk about it second. When I first got my subs and amps installed I could have sworn I had a 150db car, and got on the TL the first time and saw a 145. that is a major shot to the nuts. I have had to build quite a few boxes since then to get there. That is why I laugh everytime I see someone saying they hit 150 with their system in the first box they built...that pretty much never happens, and for those that do I am sure they have systems capable of 155's and just got luck. A 150 isn't a joke, it takes alot of time and testing to get there.
