arcwcb
I'm looking for two 12" woofers to run in 1 cu ft sealed boxes, the pair will be powered by an AQ 2200. Any suggestion on which Sundown sub would be best? BobbyG2
I'd imagine 100 extra watts would be nothing to the x series. Quote *New vehicle and system coming soon.*
DylanBunch
I'd imagine 100 extra watts would be nothing to the x series. It actually would be 150 less, and he'd have been to wait over a month. I'd go zv3 or sa. If so you are asking to break those subs. The sa12 works very well in a smaller enclosure. If you go any bigger than you are now you will start to harm the subs off that power. In my case now that I down graded setups to my new car, I have done 2 sa12's off a saz3500 at .5 ohms and I would bet you would like the way it would sound. Each sub sits in 1.4 cubes with approx. 9 sqin of port per cuft and is tuned to 37hz. The setup is loud and in the high 140 to low 150 db range. Now when I had 4 sa12's off a pair of saz3500's I ran each sub in 1.56 cubes with 12sqin of port and was loud. If anything I would try shrinking your box before going bigger and retuning it to meet your particular style. -X-RaTeD-
I would go with an X... according to Jacob, they can take 2k daily. Assuming you have the electrical for it. Plenty of headroom for that AQ, especially since your talking about getting 2 subs. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/157471-sundown-x-10-x-15-x-18-prototypes-here/?p=2301866 Quote When I hear music, I fear no danger. BobbyG2
^ Maybe even 1 15" X or Z, if your planning on this being permanent. If you go with a 12", you do get the option of adding a second sub and amp later. Quote *New vehicle and system coming soon.*
